Used Honda Ridgeline | Winchester, VA

2018 Ridgeline driving on sand

Introduced back in 2006, the Honda Ridgeline is unlike any other truck on the market. Unlike when other companies make that claim, the Honda Ridgeline lives up to it. It is the only unibody truck commercially available, resulting in a much smoother ride quality and more responsive handling.

The first generation of Ridgeline ran from 2006 to 2015 and featured a 3.5-liter V6 engine with AWD. In addition to that, the original Ridgeline had multiple industry and segment firsts. For instance, it had an in-bed trunk, a truck bed audio system, an AWD drivetrain with a fully independent suspension, ultra-low emissions, and an IIHS Top Safety Pick-Plus award for its advanced safety tech. The second generation of Ridgeline kept all the things that made the first generation so excellent while updating the style to a more rugged look and making a few modifications. The chassis platform was changed to increase towing and hauling strength, allow for more aggressive off-road use, and bolster torsional resistance. The second-gen Ridgeline can be purchased in either FWD or AWD variants. The current generation uses the J35Y6 VCM V6 engine, which produces 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque.

While the Honda Ridgeline isn’t a truck you’ll be using to haul heavy construction equipment, it is an excellent work truck that’s better on gas than all but the most efficient of diesels. And if you want to use it to haul your fishing boat or throw a couple of dirt bikes in the box, the Ridgeline has you covered.
