F-150 Model Years: Which Ones Should You Get?
The Ford F-150 has long been called “America’s Favorite Truck.” And by the numbers, that’s correct. In 2019, the F-150 sold 896,526 units, over 250,000 more than the second-place Ram 1500 at 633,694 units. Look back through the years and you’ll find similar numbers. The F-150 is undeniably a beloved truck.
But which one is the best? More specifically, what is the best year of used Ford F-150 to buy? Take a look below to see which one you should get.
2015 Ford F-150
While the 13th generation of F-150 was widely praised, the 2015 model in particular seems to be the most beloved. It featured an all-new aluminum body that retained strength and durability, while making the F-150 about 750 lbs lighter than the previous year. It also introduced the V6 EcoBoost engine, which greatly improved fuel economy. For its model year, it was the most-produced and most-bought truck in the States, so there are plenty of 2015 F-150 models to go around.
2019 Ford F-150
Part of the 13th generation of F-150, the 2019 F-150 had better capability numbers than any other model before it. The 2019 F-150 can pull up to 13,200 lbs when properly equipped. It also has access to many desirable features, like leather upholstery, a panoramic sunroof, retractable running boards, and even massaging front seats.
2013 Ford F-150
The 2013 F-150 is one of the best models in the 12th generation of F-150. It had innovative features like a MyFord Touch infotainment system, Xenon headlights, and hill descent control. It was also the year the now-popular Limited trim was introduced, offering many premium features not seen on most trucks at the time, such as a 120V outlet, retractable running boards, and integrated navigation.
